Formed the Growth Engineering function to focus on driving growth through experimentation, quick iterations and data. The team was responsible for achieving growth across the Just Eat app and website, as well as the MarTech stack.

  • Experimented across apps and website to improve key conversion, retention and acquisition metrics
  • Used AI to suggest alternative meals if restaurants cancelled orders
  • Built PoC projects (e.g. Restaurant specific apps) to test new ideas and concepts
  • Optimised conversion of 1000s restaurant microsites to improve SEO and conversion rates

Global Marketing Components & Tools Rollouts

To support all Just Eat markets and ensure a consistent experience for customers and partners, C3's founder worked with the marketing & growth teams to rollout new 3rd party platforms and components across all markets.

  • Global Rollout of Salesforce Marketing Cloud across 12 markets with customer integrations
  • Manage key supplier relationships, negotiated support from subject experts flown in from the US to solve problems, at no additional cost, and gained greater access to crucial services teams
  • PoC with Braze (formally App Boy) to explore modernising native mobile capabilities
  • Successfully rolled out new brand on time across multiple components and complex integrations

While at Just Eat a variety of scenarios necessitated a decision of build vs buy, and when to leverage external partners. In many scenarios C3's founder delivered solutions for both internal teams (e.g. Marketing & Design Studio), Restaurant Partners & Investors.

  • Negotiated and implemented Digital Asset Management system to support design studio
  • Identified B2B shop partner and implemented new shop for Just Eat branded merchandise
